Three questions external reviewers asked our last cohort
2026-03-22 · Jonas Meyer
External reviewers are not villains in our story; they are part of the operational reality for many Korean and global hardware teams. The three questions that surfaced most often: where is your key rotation evidence, how do you prove redaction before logs leave the device envelope, and who signs off on rollback after an OTA incident.
We anonymized company names but kept the question shapes intact. Cohort responses improved when we treated the questions as design inputs rather than surprise exams.
Answers evolved from slide bullets to artifact links: signed image manifests, sample redacted excerpts, and postmortem timelines with named owners. None of that replaces counsel, but it does reduce circular debates in engineering stand-ups.
If you are building similar packets, steal the structure, not the prose—your reviewers will smell copy-paste comfort language immediately.
